I had so much fun putting this cute bracelet together! It is now for sale in my Etsy shop.
What better way to support your team than with a fun and funky bottlecap bracelet? I made four cute bottlecap charms with UGA inspired discs and covered them with a protective resin dome. A few red or clear Swarovski crystals were attached to the domes to add a little of the "bling" factor. Four red and black lampworked glass beads help to form the bracelet along with matte black rounds. Numerous clear and red glass beads were handwired and wrapped and added with three typewriter style dangles spelling U-G-A along the bracelet for a bit of whimsey. It all comes together with a sterling silver toggle clasp. Any team girl would LOVE to be sporting this on the next game day!

This cutie is my first attempt at sports team inspired jewelry. It has the popular bottle caps with a team inspired insert. I have many more ideas for other teams on the work bench. Atlanta Falcons and Georgia Bulldogs next, then on to other college as well as professional sports teams....stay tuned! This was a fun design.

OMG! is all I can say.....
I love the warm weather that summer brings. It makes me want to get up with the chickens and stay outside until the last light fades. But when the heat gets worse as the summer goes on, I find ideas to stay cool when the humidity is just so unbearable here in the deep South. I put together a wonderful "treasury" on the Etsy website that lists products from other shops on Etsy that carry a theme of keeping cool in the summer as it winds down. If you see a good many "eggs" on my tree it is because my Mom used to make each of us (my siblings) two each for each year as our gift from her. My tree is full now...and I am beginning to pass them on to my two kids so they can enjoy them now. Each year I let them take one of their choosing from my tree to place on their own tree. Who knows? They may get them all before I go to the "great beyond"....but that will be okay as I would like to know that they have enjoyed them. What handmade item has been handed down from YOUR family through the years? It would be neat to have a thread here that shows many generations of "hand me downs"....so to speak. Let me hear from you.
